Meet Our Black Art Is Wellness Campaign Artists!

We’re proud to introduce the 18 artists featured in our Black Art Is Wellness campaign, which honors the deep connection between artistic expression and holistic health within the Black community!

This campaign isn’t just about beautiful packaging, but about representation. It’s about creating space for Black artists to be seen while reminding our community that wellness can be expressive, vibrant, and personal.

More than 50 incredible artists applied, each bringing their own interpretation of healing, culture, and Black womanhood. After careful review, 18 artists were selected to bring Black Art Is Wellness to life.

Their designs now appear on nearly 20 BGV products and merchandise, transforming everyday wellness essentials into wearable, collectible works of art.

Meet the Artists + Their Inspiration

Rikiesha Metzger: Collagen Powder

Metzger's Design Inspiration
Rikiesha’s design is grounded in her framework, Black Artistic Thought, centering spiritual expression and ancestral connection.

“My label design is inspired by my framework, Black Artistic Thought, which carves out space for Black women artists and thinkers to use their voices to express the spiritual through multidisciplinary forms. The sunrays behind the figure offer an illuminating experience grounded in light, hope, and love. I used a blue, yellow, and orange triadic color scheme to create a non-traditional Black history palette… The Adinkra symbols represent an African intellectual tradition that connects us to our diasporic roots and encourages Black women to reclaim health and wellness with intention.”
