How the Black Girl Wellness Fest Brought Thousands of Women Together in Chicago

The inaugural Black Girl Wellness Fest powered by Black Girl Vitamins brought together more than 3,000 women for an unforgettable weekend dedicated to wellness! From powerful conversations about Black women's health to dancing with new friends, every corner of the expo reflected what happens when women are given a space created with them in mind.

A Weekend Centered on Black Women's Wellness

Conversations covered some of the most important health topics affecting Black women today, including menopause, fibroids, hormone health, GLP-1 medications, nutrition, mental wellness, and preventative care.

The expo also served as a marketplace for the community, featuring more than 70 Black-owned businesses across beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle.

Attendees had the opportunity to discover new brands, support local entrepreneurs, and shop products created specifically for their communities all while celebrating Black excellence in business.

Wellness in Motion

More than 10 fitness instructors kept attendees active through energizing classes and demonstrations, while our incredible partners at 40+ Double Dutch brought joy outdoors with lively jump rope performances that had the crowd cheering and joining in!

Guests also cooled off at the MEDASE Cocktails zero-proof hydration bar, proving that wellness can be both refreshing and fun.

Investing in the Future of Healthcare

As part of Black Girl Vitamins' $100,000 scholarship initiative, we awarded three scholarships to Chicago graduate students pursuing careers in healthcare.

Supporting future physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals remains central to our mission of improving health outcomes for Black women, not only through supplements, but by increasing representation within healthcare itself.

More Than an Expo

Looking back, what made the Black Girl Wellness Expo so special wasn't just the incredible speakers, vendors, or experiences.

It was watching thousands of women come together to celebrate one another.

It was seeing strangers become friends, asking important health questions without judgment, supporting Black-owned businesses, dancing between sessions, and leaving inspired to prioritize their wellness.

The Black Girl Wellness Expo reminded us that wellness is about about the communities we build, the knowledge we share, and the space we create for Black women to thrive.

To every speaker, vendor, partner, volunteer, and every woman who spent the weekend with us: thank you for making our first Black Girl Wellness Expo unforgettable.

We're already looking forward to next year!
