Black Girl Vitamins & Jayla Health Unite to Support Black Women Navigating Perimenopause

Black Girl Vitamins has proudly partnered with Jayla Health, a Black woman co-founded digital hormonal healthcare company, to spotlight perimenopause in Black women — a critical but often overlooked phase in women’s health.

While menopause is frequently discussed, perimenopause, the transitional period leading up to it, is rarely talked about in the context of Black women’s health. This collaboration seeks to change that narrative.

On May 1, 2025, Black Girl Vitamins and Jayla Health hosted a powerful live webinar designed to inform and empower over 100 women who joined. Led by Jayla Health co-founder Antonia Walters,  Dr. Rachel Blake, board-certified OB/GYN at Jayla Health, and Dr. Bryanne Standifer Barrett, board-certified internist at Black Girl Vitamins, the session covered essential insights, including:

  • What perimenopause is and how it impacts the body

  • Common perimenopause symptoms in Black women

  • How to self-advocate in healthcare settings

  • Strategies for symptom relief and hormonal balance
