BGV Chicago Customer Holiday Party 2024 Recap

On December 14th, BGV hosted our first “Glow Up in Ugly Sweater” themed Holiday Party in Chicago! Our brand would be nothing without our loyal customers, and we strive to show appreciation for them in all ways possible. Here’s a recap of the time we had celebrating the women in our community: 

Introductions & Appetizers

Over 60 beautiful ladies came to party with us in their ugliest sweaters! The event started with refreshing drinks, from Black Girl Magic champagne to cider, sparkling water, and even a toasty hot chocolate bar. Everyone was greeted with friendly smiles and festive vibes from our decorative red & white holiday backdrop as they entered the room. 

Our first activity was a twist on a popular icebreaker game, called 2 Truths and Favorite BGV Product. We encouraged everyone to conversate with at least five women they never met to leave with a sense of newfound community. 

As our introductory mingling came to an end, delicious hot appetizers were served. We had a taste of various charcuterie boards, jerk chicken egg rolls, vegetarian egg rolls, and salmon sliders. For dessert, we ate delicious cookies to satisfy our sweet tooth! 

BGV Bonding 

The DJ played music that everyone danced and sang to like nobody was watching! There was a karaoke sing-along to classic hits like Can We Talk by Tevin Campbell and Weak by SWV. We also picked out the ugliest sweater of the night, relaxed, took pictures, and had great conversations. 

Then it was time to get competitive — the ladies prepared for a fun yet intense Black Culture Christmas trivia game on Kahoot. The winner won one of our cute, cozy, and exclusive BGV sweatshirts! 

Wrapping Up

Of course, we couldn’t have let our ladies go home empty-handed! Everyone received a gift bag with a BGV mug, a 15-day supply of BGV collagen, and a frother to help make the drink of their choice. 

All of those who came expressed the amount of fun they had and left in holiday spirit mode! It wasn’t just about the food or games — it was about creating a space where everyone felt welcome, celebrated, and connected.
