Black Women's Expo '25 and 96th Bud Biliken Parade Recap!

August has been filled with fulfilling experiences for the Black Girl Vitamins Team! From a historical expo filled with vendors, to a back-to-school parade for children, keep reading to catch up on what we’ve been up to.

30th Black Women’s Expo

On August 1st through 3rd, we were honored to be a sponsor for the 30th annual Black Women’s Expo right in our home base of Chicago! There were over 300 amazing exhibitors that we connected with and purchased from. We ran into organizations we’ve previously worked with, like Sisters Network, sharing helpful breast cancer resources, and 40+ Double Dutch, livening up the space with their ropes and rhymes!

The Black Girl Vitamins booth was vibrant and spacious, with enough space for ladies to browse the products, use our branded photo booth, and shop. As usual, the stars of the show were Collagen Powder and Meno-Chill, with Calm Girl Ashwagandha making an in-person debut!

BGV Medical Advisor Dr. Stan was on-site answering customer questions live, and even presented two ladies in medical school with scholarship checks on behalf of the company.

Our highlight of the Black Women’s Expo was meeting Tamron Hall, an award-winning journalist, author, and talk show host! She delivered a captivating speech and was just as pleasant in person as she is on television.

We also held three raffle giveaways for the ladies at our booth to win a BGV sweater in preparation for fall, a branded mug, and free vitamin bottle.

96th Bud Biliken Parade and Festival

The Bud Biliken Parade and Festival was filled with culture and great vibes! The BGV team marched through Bronzeville, handing out free bags of school supplies for the children in the community.

BGV’s Chief of Strategy, Jennifer, was featured on a live news segment with CBS News Chicago at the Bud Biliken festival, highlighting the brand story and mission.

Moments like these remind us of how powerful it is to show up for our community as women who care deeply about health and sisterhood. August has been a beautiful reminder that Black Girl Vitamins is more than supplements in a cabinet, but part of a larger movement to pour into Black women so they can keep thriving.
